The Cove is Newcastle’s premier over 55’s resort, located at Fullerton Cove, the gateway to beautiful Port Stephens between the Hunter River and Stockton Beach.

Our Location

The Cove’s unique attraction is Community Title, meaning you own your own home and land, and don’t pay any exit fees. The Cove offers numerous resort style facilities, including full size tennis court and bowling green, indoor heated pool and spa, bar lounge and dining areas, lounge, billiards room and library, craft room, theatrette, gym, men’s shed and more! The architecturally designed homes are spacious and offer 9ft ceilings, ducted air conditioning, full gourmet kitchens with stone bench tops and stainless steel appliances including dishwasher.

All homes offer master bedrooms with ensuites and garages. The Cove is located just 15 minutes north of Newcastle, surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna between the coastline and Hunter River. Turn off Nelson Bay Road into Fullerton Cove Road at the roundabout just north of Newcastle Golf Course.

Recommend The Cove for single ladies, it is the best thing I have done moving here, the people are great and so helpful, the houses are really lovely, built beautifully, very comfortable, the facilities are great, fabulous fabulous fabulous, I really recommend the Cove for everybody

Love living here, lovely homes, a wonderful Community, lot's of activities and new friends to make. Close to the airport, Port Stephens, Nelsons Bay and Raymond Terrace, a short ferry ride across to Newcastle eateries and attractions from nearby Stockton. Beautiful beaches. Great for singles and couples.

Ken & I have lived now at The cove for nearly two years. We very much enjoy our lifestyle and the closeness to Newcastle for shopping and outings. We love the tranquility and a quiet atmosphere. The access to the pool is great and we have renewed our hobby of playing Mahjong and also find the social activities a lot of fun.

I love living at the Cove, you can go for a walk on flat ground, call into the gym on your way home then take a dip in the pool if you get to hot. The grandchildren are welcome for sleep overs in the school holidays or any other time. The residents are very friendly & it is up to you if you join in the activities or not there is no pressure.

I love that The Cove is handy to my work, is a secure community and is so low maintenance, especially after downsizing from an acreage at nearby Medowie. All services and facilities are a stone’s throw away, we are 10 minutes from Mayfield and close to Stockton Beach where we go 4WD and fishing.
